Overcoming Trauma
A trauma can happen to anyone at any age. Also, post trauma symptoms can be experienced by anyone at any age-from birth, through childhood, adolescence and into adulthood. But very important is that trauma symptoms can be healed.
An emotional trauma occurs when a child, adolescent or adult becomes internally overwhelmed by their emotions, and is unable to relieve themselves of this overwhelm. High amounts of adrenaline and other hormones are created when emotional overwhelm is occurring, and this is very dangerous to the vital organs and nervous systems.
When this occurs an automatic and subconscious trauma response mechanism is activated that enables the emotional overwhelm to be reduced, and the person to survive. The overload to the senses and emotions causes a psychological splitting off affect, and the person
becomes internally dissociated from their trauma. The trauma is however stored subconsciously, and affects the mind, body and identity.
Especially when new born babies and young children encounter emotional trauma they are left with a subconscious psychological ‘imprint’ that can cause significant troubles later in life. Indeed, what neuroscience points to is that adverse childhood experiences are linked to psychological issues in adults.
These stored trauma imprints can cause difficulties in both our mind (the way we think and perceive things) and the body (our emotions and how we feel). Symptoms like anxiety and depression, eating and personality disorders, behavioural and relational dysfunctions and bodily symptoms can be linked back to previous emotional trauma. These are post traumatic symptoms that can be addressed using Systemic Constellation. People find this approach to be a powerful and safe way to resolve troublesome issues, and experience more balance, wellbeing and harmony in themselves and their life.
In my work I use uses the theory and method of Professor Franz Ruppert, and the many breakthroughs in neuroscience to underpin the recovery process. When people are experiencing psychological or emotional difficulties it is often hard to cope. By bringing specific troublesome issues to their session, a client is able to encounter and overcome the inner dynamics that are at the source of their difficulty.

Below you will find an interview with Professor Ruppert. Here he talks about why it is important for everyone of us to understand our own childhood traumas.
